David R. Hornig

David R. Hornig is a founding partner of the firm. He concentrates his practice in the areas of admiralty, insurance and commercial litigation. David has extensive experience in jury and non-jury trials, appeals in both federal and state courts. He has represented clients in a wide range of insurance disputes, including fraud claims, coverage claims, vessel collisions, aviation claims, warehouse claims, rail and trucking claims, actions involving fraudulent warehouse receipts, insurance fraud by brokers and agents, limitation of liability actions, personal injury defense claims and labor law claims.

Prior to entering private practice, David was a member of the Judge Advocate General in the United Sates Air Force attaining the rank of Major where he handled a wide range of criminal cases both as a prosecutor and a defense counsel. In addition, he was designated by the United States District Attorney to represent the United States in prosecuting non-military personnel who committed criminal offenses that occurred on McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. David has also acted as an arbitrator for the New York Civil Court, has addressed groups in the marine industry and has handled pro bono cases in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
